Sandra Fay aka Sandee Johnston

Sandra Fay, aka Sandee, Johnston, 64 of Rusk passed away July 24, 2023 at her home. She was a God fearing lover of her Country. She was born March 8, 1959 in Crockett to R.C. and Mattie Lou Richardson. She was known to speak her mind and one of her favorite things to do was to feed the community and that Ralph would like all to join us in honor of her at the KOA on Friday. She loved her family, loved to cook and can vegetables that she raised in her garden. She was very proud of her yard and has been awarded the nicest yard in Rusk several times. Sandee loved her gospel music, so much so that you could hear it playing when you drove by her house. Sandee and Ralph have been married for 30 something years. The two of them worked together in the Air Conditioning business, keeping Ralph on schedule and ready to go to the next job before the one he was working on was even done. You might say that she was the glue that kept the business going. Sandee is survived by her husband Ralph Johnston of Rusk; daughter: Memoree Isabell of Rusk; son: Royce Richardson and wife Kylene of Longview; father: Ross Richardson; stepson: Ralph Johnston III of Diana; stepdaughter: Shannon Flowers and husband Jerry of Pollock, TX; stepson: Nathan Johnston and wife Tori of Longview; grandchildren: Jason, Jaydyn, Clara, Ryan, Savannah, Rosalyn; a host of step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; twin sister: Sondra Davis of Rusk; sisters: Arlene Benge and husband Eric of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Kelly Pyle and husband Judd of Belott, TX, Joneen Richardson of Crockett, sister-in-law: Janis Rutherford; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by: her mother: Mattie Lou Nick Richardson, sister: Debra Lou Currie, brother-in-law: Jimmy Currie, niece: Stephanie Currie, brothers: Ross Cleveland Richardson and Rodney Clayton Richardson, niece: Ashley Benge and brother-in-law: Pat Rutherford. A time of celebrating Sandee’s life will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Banquet Room of the Rusk KOA Holiday, 745 FM 343 East, Rusk, TX 75785, with a time of sharing stories starting at 7 p.m. Sandee’s family requests that no flowers be sent, to please send memorials in her honor to the National Rifle Association, The Republican Party, or to your local no kill animal shelter. Arrangements are being held under the direction of Wallace Thompson Funeral Home, Rusk, TX. “Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Proverbs 31:31
