Mrs. Hazel Janette McBride

Mrs. McBride passed away May 23, 2026 in Whitehouse, Texas. She was born May 15, 1951 in Freeport Texas to her late parents Will Marvin Lusk Sr and Margie Marie Allen. Mrs McBride was a resident of Smith County for 40 years. She received an Associate in Science from University of Phoenix and Business Administration in Business Management from Tyler School of Business and worked as office manager for local physician practices in Tyler Texas until she retired at the age of 73. She loved her family and her cat, Baby girl, needle point and quilt making. She had a deep religious faith and was an Ordained Reverend. Her favorite place to be was on any beach. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Marvin and Tommy Lusk. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Jimmy Collins of Tyler, Texas, son and daughter-in-law, Harold “Bubba” and Kimberly Stewart of Rusk Texas, daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Shane Hardy of Troup Texas, seventeen grandchildren including Holli Morales and husband Angel of Gainesville Missouri, Ashley Kelly and husband Billy of China Spring Texas, C.J. Clague of Frisco, Texas, Cidni Stewart of Big Sandy Texas, Daren Humphries and wife Jordie of Forney Texas, Cori Holt and husband Jessie of North Carolina, Kristen Humphries of Tyler, Nathan Clague and wife Alana of Tyler Texas, Chanon Stewart and wife Emily of Hallsville Texas, Jonathan Roberts and wife Chantera of Houston Texas, Hayden Roberts and wife Megan of Wharton Texas, Bayleigh Collins of Huntsville, Texas, Hailey Douglas and husband Coy of Rusk Texas, Brooke Collins of Huntsville Texas, Annsleigh Stewart of Troup Texas, Jakob Hardy of Troup Texas, Landon and Grayson Stewart of Rusk Texas, thirteen great-grandchildren, sisters Doris Parker and Ginger Shorter of Lovington New Mexico, brothers Bruce Lusk of Nacogdoches Texas and DeWayne Wallace of Jacksonville Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will include CJ Clague, Billy Kelly, Daren Humphries, Nathan Clague, Chanon Stewart, Jakob Hardy and Landon Stewart. Visitation with chapel service following for Hazel Janette McBride, age 75, of Whitehouse is scheduled for Saturday May 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM with Brother Paul Essary officiating at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk Texas. Burial to follow at Alto City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
