Graveside Services for Ruby Edna Jackson, age 91, of Rusk are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Salem Cemetery under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home with Bro. Don Copeland officiating. Mrs. Jackson passed away December 25, 2014 in a Jacksonville nursing home. She was born on July 8, 1923 to the late Jewel and Nellie Cottrell. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, flower gardening, music, and she was known to be a great cook and baker. She is pre-deceased by her husband Bill Jackson, and sisters Mildred Buxton, Ruth Knutson, and Bonnie Gilley. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Billie and Armando Duran, Rusk, TX, son and daughter-in-law Rusty and Dora Draper, Bulgaria, step-daughter Georgia Grogan, Jacksonville, TX, brother and sister-in-law Ray and Joy Cottrell, Spring, TX, sister and brother-in-law Betty and Jim Henderson, Seattle, WA, sister Lela Chachere, Tyler, TX, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. The family also wishes to give special thanks to Senior Care of Jacksonville for their excellent care. Pallbearers will include Tony Duran, Alex Duran, Lloyd Gilley, Armando Duran, Neal Campbell, and Willie Bergemann. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. up until service time, Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
