Louise O. Ball

Eunice Louise Odom was born January 14, 1925 in the Mt. Hope Community, Cherokee County Texas and entered into eternal rest on November 10, 2012 in Tyler, Texas at the age of 87. Louise joined Holleyman Chapel Baptist Church and was baptized in the Neches River at Hopson Bridge in the 30’s. She eloped and married Staff/Sgt. J. Tom Ball at the First Baptist Church in Pasadena, Texas on March 3, 1942. They were married 52 years. J. Tom Ball died January 2, 1995. Louise enjoyed raising cattle and timber. She had a passion for cooking and loved spending time fishing and sitting on the porch watching the sun sets. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert Forrest Odom and Beulah Pool Odom and brother Merl Thomas Odom. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Tom Forrest Ball and Linda Ball, grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Ball and Tom Forrest Ball Jr. of Houston, TX. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2012 in Mt. Comfort Cemetery in Maydelle, TX with Rev. Don Copeland officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
