Funeral services for Eddie B Vining, age 93, of Rusk are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 12, 2011 in First United Methodist Church in Rusk with Rev. Chuck Lightle officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk. Mrs. Vining died September 9, 2011 at her residence. She was born June 25, 1918 in Linwood, TX to the late Edwin E. and Ida Wallace Roark. Mrs. Vining was a lifelong resident of Rusk and a member of First United Methodist Church in Rusk. She was a Beauty Operator and a housewife. Preceded in death by her husband, William M. Vining. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Scott Jared of Jacksonville, son and daughter-in-law, William (Bill) Vining Jr. and wife Tonya of Fairview, TX, granddaughter, Tracey Wolfe of Mabank, TX, three grandsons, William Jared of Rusk, Macon Vining of Fairview, T.J. Vining of Fairview, sister, Lucius Cooper of Pasadena, four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Elbert and Louise Roark of Nacogdoches, TX, James Roark of Baytown, TX, David and Shirley Roark of Nacogdoches, Joseph and Maria Roark of Nacogdoches. Pallbearers will include Macon Vining, T.J. Vining, David French, Brooke Day, David Grogan, Chuck Gabbert and Jerry Thompson. Family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the funeral home.
