Clinton Ray Corley

April 28, 1973 - March 5, 2021

Funeral Services for Clinton Ray Corley, 47, of Rusk, will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at the Rusk First Baptist Church under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Givens and Pastor Rex Hoot officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mr. Corley joined his Lord Jesus Christ surrounded by his family on March 5, 2021. He was born April 28, 1973 in Jacksonville, Texas. Clint attended school in Rusk and graduated from Alto High School in 1991. He attended Angelina College and Stephen F. Austin University before beginning a career at TXDOT which spanned 30 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rusk. He truly loved his family and enjoyed camping and spending time on the lake with them. He had a passion for drag racing, dirt track racing, coaching his boys in baseball, watching his daughter play volleyball, deer hunting, and chasing pheasant, quail and dove across the country with his dad and his boys. He is predeceased by his first wife Rebecca Thompson Corley, grandparents, Charles and Madelyn Sharp, Doris Corley, Emmett and Janice Scott and Ray and Reba Melton. Survivors include his wife Angela Bruno Corley, daughter, Mary Elizabeth Fletcher, sons, Carson and Anderson Corley, all of Rusk. Mother and father, Marshall and Sharla Corley of Alto, father and stepmother Johnny and Becky Spraggins of Rusk. Sisters and brothers-in-law, Stephanie and Mark Davis of Alto, Shelly and Jarrod Holland of Bridge City, Texas, Christy and Robert Imbriale of Brooklyn, New York. Brother-in-law Dominick Bruno of Jacksonville. Mother and father-in-law, Nick and Mary Sue Bruno of Jacksonville, Jimmy and Sharon Thompson of Rusk as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Rusk First Baptist Church. Pallbearers are Mark Hall, Dale Meeks, Darren Vaught, Jeremy Driver, Jeremy Taylor, Chris Henderson, Cody Roach, Steve Tugwell. Honorary Pall Bearers are his TXDOT coworkers. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Rusk First Baptist Church, 372 E. 4th St., Rusk, TX 75785 or Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, Texas 75701.
